What Have I Gotten Out of Journalism?

My goal this year has been to leave a legacy to my beloved (pronounced be-loved) school. God has provided an awesome way for me to do this through journalism. I can’t believe what an opportunity I’ve been given. I am learning what it means to be a leader. It takes alot of hard work. A leader needs a vision. I believe that God has given me one. The most important thing a leader can do is to make those under his leadership self-suffecient. I know that this is happening in our class. We have come from one or two people doing the work to the whole class coming together as a body. I can’t wait to see how the next paper comes out. I’m even more anxious, though, to see what our returning staff will do with journalism next year. I wish I could stay to see the paper grow.

· I have learned the art of delegation. A person just can’t do it all alone.
· I have learned to plan.
· I have learned about humanity
· I have learned how much talent our school really has ( I’m sure I haven’t even scratched the surface.)
· I have learned what it means to be a body of believers united under one God working toward one goal
· I have learned how much I’m going to miss this place ( I’m starting to cry.)

The End Times has become my pride and joy. I’ve spent many hours trying to make it the best paper I can. I am grateful for my staff. I love them (sincerely). I hope the student body realizes just how much we love them for putting out this paper for them. Yes, it’s a challenging task. This challenge has made an eternal impression on my heart and life. I know that I can leave this school knowing that I made a difference. I have left a legacy.

It has truly been a learning experience.
